Fun game but over-priced March 7, 2010 Gregory C. Davy This game is very fun. I was given it for christmas a few years ago and play it a lot on 2 player and owner mode (as I find the cpu too easy to beat) and still enjoy playing it with all the show and 2k games released. Though I have seen it priced for much less than this, they sell it on [...] for MUCH less. I hope to report back on 2k10 when I get it.
BEST baseball game ever!!! January 31, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you want to get a real baseball thrill this is the game you!
If you are like me and want updated rosters than you mite not like this game. But you can do what my friend did and update the rosters yourself.{which takes a long time}. The dynasty mode is very easy because if you do good the manager will give you 10-13 million dollar raise. The owner mode is not to bad. You get to creat your own ballpark which includes
creating your ballpark name which goes on the corny score board you get stuck with unless you pay 2.5 million dollars out of the 5 million you get. You also can buy fireworks, ads, more seating, updated scoreboard, and bigger lights {the upgrades have 4-5 levels for each thing it costes more money the higher the level gets}.You also can buy food stands and stuff like that. I will give you a tip. When trading in owner mode if the team won't take what you think is a fair trade put the worst player on there team in the trade and there is a 85% chance they will take. The creat a player is pretty cool to. The biggest con to this game is the fact that if play this on the computer {like I do} It's impossible to steal unless the pithcher makes a wild pitch or throws a very slow pithch. If you do want a updated version check out MVP baseball
NCAA. Overall though this is a very good game!
EA Sports steals the show! January 14, 2007 Brutus The Barber Beefcake (Tokyo, Japan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Possibly the best baseball game in history. This game is truely addicting as you find yourself playing from sun-up to sun-down. There are numerous different game modes:
Dynasty Mode: You take your team to the top over a maximum span of 120 years. You draft young talent and bring it up through the farm to create the next Henry Aaron or Cy Young. You control the MLB,AAA,AA, and A clubs.
Owner Mode: Take your team to the bank as you try to earn money. You start off by creating your own ballpark to play in and possibly upgrade as you get more money!
All in all this game is great because you can download numerous updates at www.mvpmods.com. There you can find new rosters, cyberfaces, and stadiums.
Very good game what happend with MVP 2006 or 2007? October 28, 2006 J. carlos Almendarez I think is a very good game, needs to work with the graphics. I can not wait to see MVP 2007 with improvements.
Do not overpay July 20, 2006 Condormania (Derby, CT U.S.A.) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
The users that are shamefully selling this game at astronomical prices should be shot. There is no reason for this game to be priced so high other than the fact that one or two desperate people actually paid such a high price. If you look hard enough, you can find it for much, much less. I just bought one, brand new, on eBay for $32. I am pretty sure the most recent seller on this site, the one selling the game for $92, also got his on eBay (I recognize his name), but I can't be sure. If people pay these ridiculous and insulting prices, it will only perpetuate the situation. Tell these guys that you are not stupid.
Don't forget, EA often rereleases their older games. If you are patient, you may end up buying it on a discount software rack at Best Buy for $9.99.
